Looking Across the Estuary, to the Southern Alps

Another beautiful winter's day. We've been so lucky this weekend with the weather and it's been a welcome relief after the storms not so long ago.

A friend came out to Shag Rock this morning, wanting some help with using his brand new ND filter, so we had a 'session' on the beach. People came and went, many of them with dogs, and it was amazing how many people I knew and who stopped and chatted. So nice :)

I turned my camera the other way, while he was trying out the filter, and captured this view across the Christchurch Estuary, past Southshore and the houses at Redcliffs, to the Southern Alps. They were very clear indeed today.
