RHS Rosemoor
3 1/2 hours sleep and I was wide-awake. I popped on the radio and read for a while.
Washed and dressed by 6:30 and down for a cup of tea with Auntie . At 8:15, I enjoyed some breakfast of my favourite poached eggs on toasted sourdough, only this time accompanied by some sliced avocado.
Carer arrived an hour later and decided that as it wasn’t shower day and had fed and watered myself she would not be required.
Within 10 minutes, a phone call from care coordinator to say my care package will be terminated as I was now self-sufficient in looking after myself!
At 9:45, I was collected by L, one of caregivers who had two weeks leave.
A slow and most enjoyable bimble around the gardens of RHS Rosemoor, in a mixture of fine, drizzle and watery warm sunshine.
We spotted or heard Woodpeckers, coal tits, blue tits, great tits, long tail tits, Siskins, wonderful pair of bullfinches, chaffinches, wagtails buzzard amongst others.
Magnificent magnolias, and a stunning display of hyacinths and tulips.
A warm beverage and some date flapjack were enjoyed before a short browse around the gift shop and home.
More admin on return, including chasing up some specific physiotherapy to work on from Derriford Hospital.
Chicken casserole with dumplings warmed. For the third time was delicious. Auntie enjoyed her jacket potato with cheese.
Annie the musical (1982)was auntie’s choice for the TV. Unfortunately, without subtitles, hence the need to use earplugs to cope with the volume she required to listen.. We are waiting for an appointment to see an audiologist and for them to perform Ear Wax Removal.
The latest recruit having stopped for lunch is in my extra.
Zzzzz.
