Awning Deliverance
Yesterday, I gamely put out my awning for the first time since I have been here. The winds have been much too strong to risk it so far, but with yesterday's temperatures reaching 95 degrees, it was a necessity.
The afternoon sun hits this side of my motor home and without the awning it is much harder to cool the interior. The awning is simply marvellous. It provides shade until the sun is sinking at about 8pm. I have relished being able to sit outside in the mornings and I have loved the cool interior in the afternoons.
I am still concerned about wind gusts. The tie downs seem to help a lot, and so far so good. Crossing fingers and toes and eyes and ankles and anything else that can be crossed.
