it's only sock and roll
These colourful feet belong to Tim, our bass player. When I realised that his socks matched the strings on his bass, I had to blip them. Tim is a kind, gentle man and a great musician. We've played together for 24 years.
We have a gig on Saturday evening - a fundraiser for Cancer Research UK.
We've all reached the age where we're dealing with a variety of life-changing conditions. So there's an element of poignancy to our last minute rehearsal. We're not ready to give up, but realise that there will come a time when it gets too much.
There's a lot of heavy-lifting in putting on a gig. Not just the performing for a couple of hours, but the setting up before and the packing away afterwards. We're not big enough to employ a team of Roadies and partners can only do so much. So we carry on while we can.
