to lift the sun into the sky
I thought we were losing Dad today.
What a horrible 12 or so hours. Amazingly, about twenty minutes after the consultant had an eureka moment and got to the source of the problem (a clot somewhere blocking something kidneyish which was stopping his newly-diverted waterworks from functioning) the pain had eased and he was able to open his eyes properly again and flutter some sentences together in applause of how comparatively fantastic he felt. Once I knew he was settled and out of the woods and that Mum was ok I set off for the drive home, stopping off near Penmaenmawr for a quick wee-and-blipstop.
I'm home for a full day tomorrow, partly to dish out the cuddles to ladySp33d and littleA whom I've missed by the bucketload, and partly to run some importantly unavoidable errands including picking up clean clothes and ensuring things are ready for our 'it's-booked-and-to-late-to-postpone new boiler being fitted on Mnday before heading back to resume bedside visiting hours with Mum again.
