ChatGPT marking English papers

It does a very good job at assessing answers against the assessment objectives and providing a mark. Once the assessment criteria/objectives have been provided and you have a question to be marked, the trick is to ask it to answer the question itself first, then to ask it to mark its own answer. Only then provide the student's answer to assess in the same way. It also provides useful feedback on how to improve.

This allows Orla to attempt loads of past paper questions for her upcoming English Literature IGCSE.
