The Grenoble Gap

Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . . . for the high mountains

A trip today to Lac de Paladru where we strolled along the water's edge in the warm sunshine.  It was all very peaceful with only a few people about because we are still early in the season.  Will managed to confuse a mallard with an app on his phone (see extra) which was quite amusing!

When we got back to base, we were greeted with the amazing sight of the whole vista of mountains to the southeast of us, glowing in the setting sun.  To the left are the Chartreuse and to the right are the Vercors.  The gap in the middle is where Grenoble sits - with the backdrop on the skyline of the French Alps.
