Kaybees Bits

Lovely Wood

Despite the knot which required some preventative work to prevent t falling out.

I haven't actually done any turning today - just taking pictures of a couple of pieces.
Does the picture of Joe, Gerald and Gabriel remind anyone of the comedy sketch "I Know My Place"?

SWMBO and I went to get fuel and a couple of other things in Costco..... and came out with a new kitchen appliance as well.
We then called into the furniture shop where we bought my (currently not functioning) recliner. What a difference to the shop in Livingston who were less that helpful. It turns out that they could have found all the details on the computer (the girl showed me how in 3 seconds). The also could have explained that a service engineer can be called out with one phone call (and gave me the card with the details already printed on it).
She was even perfectly happy to take the car key we had found outside the shop and contact the shopping complex office so they knew where it was should somebody report its loss elsewhere.
Apparently all the stores in Central Scotland know how poor Livingston is when it comes to customer care.

On the way home we stopped off at The Larder's head office (where we met the most wonderful new employee) so that we could leave an article that was in the Costco magazine about them helping charities which falls right in with The Larder's way of working.

During the afternoon I took the now no longer and outdated (but fully working in excellent condition) kitchen appliance (along with some other stuff and some books) and dropped them off at the charity shop.
