Repotting
Another lovely sunny start to the day. Spent several hours tidying up on the deck, cleaning out the greenhouse and doing a bit of potting. As you can see, any cats which happen to get in the way find themselves repotted too! Fortunately Rosie didn't squash anything vital!
I opened a bag of compost and spread it out in a barrow to dry in the sun - it was rather soggy. I drove down to Homebase as the manager had promised to donate some bedding plants to Keep Oban Beautiful for a bed on the corner of the newly-paved pedestrian path, Gibraltar Street. There wasn't enough, but beggars can't be choosers! As I was returning it began to rain very lightly. I got home in time to shovel the compost into a dustbin - glad it didn't get wetter than it was before!
I've since learnt that The Dove Centre, a hospice in Oban, has agreed to look after the Gibraltar Street beds, together with a couple of planters which the council is supplying. So the plants from Homebase will be a stopgap until they get organised.
