Blossom Pep Ventosa

It is very definitely spring now as the weather keeps changing! We had wonderful sunshine all morning, then a bit of rain, then sunshine and now it has clouded over. I took photos of this tree first thing this morning, and now when I look at it there are a pile of blossoms on the grass below that were knocked off by the light rainfall that we had earlier on. Sadly the blossoms do not last long.

Tonight we have our last PDI (projected digital image) competition of the year at our camera club. Not the last competition - we still have another open print competition, a mono print competition, a nature competition and a set subject competition before the season ends in May. Although the projector that is used to display the images has been finely tuned to the correct settings, it is always too bright so every judge we have always comments on the images being a bit over exposed. I have learnt to adjust my PDI images by tweaking the exposure a bit to compensate for this, and not to choose scenes with too much snow or white in them.
