Being looked after

I told him Mr John said he should look after me while Catie was away....I think he's taking the task seriously.

Spent the morning at our Bank trying to sort out the mess they'd made of Catie's hotel bill. You'd think that paying something with a valid piece of financial plastic, drawing on an account in good standing, with ample funds to cover the bill would be straightforward but no. Not content with screwing the world economy and paying themselves obscene bonuses our bankers decided someone paying a hotel bill was suspicious and therefore declined to pay up and queried it. Meanwhile, since I haven't heard from her, I can't help imagining that Catie has been thrown out on the street in a foreign country, on a strange continent or at the very least humiliated in front of Izzy's family. Rationally I can convince myself that her silence is because she's busy enjoying herself but I'm a Dad so I worry. This parenting thing doesn't get any easier!
