Train to Vinstra

This morning we took the early train from Oslo to Vinstra. What an incredible journey. Although it’s hard to take photos from a moving train I had a good go. It took over three hours for this part of the journey so I had plenty of opportunity. See extra collage.

We were then picked up by the hotel minibus and taken the last 50 mins to Dalseter, our base for the next three nights. We’re travelling light with our x-country skis as we plan to move on along the Peer Ghynt trail. The hotel is on its own in a stunning location. After lunch and a sleep, much needed after only getting 3.5 hours last night, we set off on our skis, very keen to explore the area. The x-country here is fabulous. See other extra.

Met a lady after dinner who gave us lots of advice about the skiing as there are so many loops to choose from. Turns out she skied with a good friend of ours last year on a course. Small world.
