Poplar

Poplars seem to have incurred the hatred of the local authorities but here the groundswell of public opinion seems to have turned against them. A whole row of 50 year old specimens came under the chainsaw and have changed the microclimate. I suppose someone should plant some replacements. They will probably be quite tall by the time this matter has been sorted out. Poor owls.
