A mainly good day today.
I baked an apple cake to take to my sister’s tomorrow (and a second one to cut up and put in the freezer). Afterwards we went for a walk and the sun was shining. There are some beautiful spring flowers around - this white magnolia is in a nearby garden but the camellias are ours, as is tiny cherry with tiny blossom..
A sad note was hearing of the death of Steve Harley (of Cockney Rebel). I saw him back in the 70s and more recently we saw him several times in Frome. He was a brilliant live performer who really engaged with the audience (even though he said that Frome people were cr*p singers!)
We’re going over to our sons shortly, for board games & dinner.
