Spoilt for choice!

I still don't know what these beauties are called. Maybe they are coppers of some type? If some kind person out there could help I'd be delighted. This shot isn't a macro although I managed a few, however they didn't really highlight this species' total lack of camouflage when in flight or with wings open. Once sitting they switch their beacons off pretty quickly.

Otherwise I spotted about 5 other species, a moth and a variety of bees and hover flies. Quite a few decent shots

It's about time to do some weeding of onions but it won't be too easy without standing on them.
