Water Attraction
Fortunately our journey north navigating around the closed section M25 and up the M1 went smoothly. We arrived with family in the Midlands in time for lunch.
Afterwards we had a walk in the local area including to Wicksteed Park where we saw this water chute dating from the 1930s. It, like the park, is a Grade 2 listed heritage attraction. Apparently the original water chute was built in 1926 and the slide part was constructed of bed rails. If you fancy a ride, you’ll be pleased to know the chute is still operational in the summer!
Grateful:
- For a smooth journey along busy roads.
- To have relaxed time with family including my niece and nephew.
- To have time away after a busy week.
