Get a grip

 
I met Kyle and his partner while out walking this morning. They had just arrived by train from Edinburgh  to try their hand at rock climbing having previously only climbed on indoor walls.
 
They were amazed to have Wolf Crag, the disused quarry, so accessible and within walking distance of the station.
 
This quarry has a special place in the history of town because most
of the stone houses in upper Bridge of Allan were built from stone quarried from it.
 
Today it is a popular site for rock climbers, with many like Kyle travelling over thirty miles to climb there.

Squirrel saga.  Leo is banned from going out at night now. According to wildlife experts the advice is to keep cats indoors during the red squirrel breeding season March/April.
He is not going to like it. M buried the red squirrel killed by Leo under a rhododendron bush in the garden.
