Good friends old and new

Third day in Kendal this week (it's a good job there are a couple of decent pool cars to choose from). I gave the planning inquiry a miss and covered full council. One of the west Cumbrian councillors had a pop at the 'costly inquiry' which was being held at the request of the company - which he described as 'opportunists'. Made a decent page lead for me.

managed to catch up with my old pal Ellis Butcher (left) who lives in neighbouring Oxenholme. We used to work together in Barrow-in-Furness during the eearly 90s and have managed to keep in touch over the years. This was taken in the Wetherspoons pub in Carlisle's Botchergate and we were joined by my current workmate Duncan Bick who luckily had the next day off to recover.
