day 1

bit of an unsettled night last night as i got used to the sounds of my new home and it's surroundings. alarm set for 6.30 to receive the delivery of my sofa (because 7am on a Saturday morning is a reasonable time to deliver). a few tense moments watching to see if it would fit up my rather narrow staircase. and back to bed for my first coffee in bed!

claire came over and we mooched around the shops a bit, had some lunch and mooched around a bit more. lovely. then i gave my oven it's maiden voyage and made some mushroom and aubergine couscous.

i think i'm going to like it here!
