It took a while for the birds to become comfortable with the new bird feeder but it’s very popular again now. This blue tit was enjoying its turn on the fat balls.

After Tess got back from Keep Fat we walked the long way round to get ingredients for tonight’s dinner.

This afternoon was largely taken up with a phone call to BT, or EE as it now is, negotiating a new contract as our old one runs out next month. 

A very cheerful and helpful “guide” as they now call their customer service staff (why?) gave us an upgrade for £2 a month less than they were going to charge us to renew our old contract. I was tempted to ask if he was wearing the full Guides uniform complete with woggle and how many badges he’d got but thought it might not be the done thing. Mind you, he did tell me he was going to be baking a cake for his son’s birthday when he finished work at 9 o’clock tonight so I reckon his cooking badge is nailed on.
