Return to Waddesdon

The new season starts soon so today there was a briefing for volunteers on the past season and what is in store for the year ahead - all very exciting. This includes a small exhibition by the painter Guercino of King Solomon. Newly discovered in 2022, it is on display for the first time ever, along with four other Guercino paintings, one loaned by King Charles III; these are truly magnificent.
Volunteers were allowed a walk round the House to see both the new and the familiar; we were all impressed.
We anticipate a busy season ahead.
