I started with the usual morning routine which includes checking the weather forecasts. Met Office was for the rain clearing during the morning while the BBC showed it continuing into the afternoon.

Drove down to Tesco for my weekend groceries (and treats) then spent a few hours doing general tidying and cleaning. Put all the things that I’d left lying around back in their correct places.

By 11 o’clock it was dry so out for a walk, and a short run when I spotted the rainbow. It faded then got brighter again and was still there when I’d completed the first steep climb up the Loughrigg track.
