The Front Yard (Friday 15th March 2024)

This is the first tulip flower to surface here in 2024, but with plenty more on the way, so it had to be the blip for Flower Friday, with thanks to BikerBear.

In other news, the outbuilding decking is now complete (in Extras), and future projects have been discussed.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Blondie - (I'm Always Touched By Your) Presence, Dear (recorded June-July 1977, Plaza Sound, New York NY)
On this evening I played back an old DVD of Blondie's greatest hits and was pleased to discover that it was all in 5.1 Surround Sound, adding an extra dimension to the experience. I have always loved the lyric to this song which was bass player Gary Valentine recounting his seemingly telepathic connection to his girlfriend of the time, as sung by Debbie Harry. He isn't on the record having left the band before they recorded it, but their drummer Clem Burke persuaded the rest of Blondie to include it for the album Plastic Letters. It was never a single in the US but reached the UK Top Ten.
