downtown

DC doesn't have a very big downtown - there's a reason for that. the district has a height restriction law that keeps buildings from being very tall. why the reason for the height restriction, i'm not sure. but that is the reason for the very high rent prices - no vertical expansion.

long but good day at work today getting caught up on all manner of things from this week. lots of hard rain, lots of research. ended the day with dinner at a thai place in the rain, and then we saw world war z. a solid summer action movie, have to say.
