And there it was gone.

Difficult to believe, I know, but I saw a Hummingbird Moth darting around the garden this afternoon. It's quite normal to see them in the Summer, but never before this early in the year. I wonder if it has over-wintered here or simply blown over from France with the recent strong southerly winds? Sadly by the time I reached for my phone it was out of range. 
Anyway, I thought the sight of flowers and berries together on the Skimmia was worth a blip - this is not unusual.
