Mother's Day brunch
The youngest came home yesterday - his first visit home since the Christmas holidays, although we have visited him in Glasgow since then. Now in second year of university, this is reassuring to us as in first year he came home often and wasn't settled at all. We do miss him very much, but we're glad that he seems to be happier this year. He made me this delicious brunch of avocado and poached eggs on toast for Mother's Day and later cooked lentil daal for dinner. At least I can rest easy knowing that he is able to feed himself away from home! He was slightly miffed that his brother (our middle son) rocked up just before dinner, cooked the rolled out chapati dough and then tried to take some credit for making dinner! Nice to see them together as they're in opposite sides of the country and so caught up in their own young lives that they don't see each other often enough.
