I was on the 7 o’clock bus into Kendal this morning. I got fed up of waiting for the garage yesterday and went home by bus.

Headed up to Booths for their cafe opening at 8 taking some photos on the way. Enjoyed a coffee and toasted teacake before a walk in the drizzle to pick up the car . . . and pay the bill.

The main photo is Branthwaite Brow. There’s a similar colour shot in extras. Also in the collage are the egg delivery man, street sweepers (the drivers were behind eating their Greggs takeaway) and ‘British Ail’. For many years this was a popular fruit and veg shop. The signs have been removed leaving some from many years ago. I’d like to return with a longer lens to get a better angle on some signs I saw yesterday and today.
