Castor Eurasia

....the European beaver.  These busy little mammals  (once extinct in the UK) were reintroduced in Scotland and are having a happy time making themselves at home. Since they are primarily nocturnal it's more common to see what they have gnawed rather than glimpsing the creatures themselves.  They seem partial to the trees at the kayak launching site at Firbush Centre on Loch Tay.
