Up the chimney
As it was a very wet, miserable day, my daughter and I decided to stay relatively close to home and visit Battersea Power Station. I’ve passed it hundreds of times in the train and seen it grow from a sprawling, neglected site, only used as film set, to what it has become today - a vast shopping mall. However, we were more interested in learning about its past and we went up the inside one of the towers in a high speed lift to see the views over London and the Thames. Not great views on a wet day but nevertheless very exciting to be up there. We had lunch and as it was still pouring down my daughter called a Uber to take us home.
