Coming and going

We went to the Brass Monkey Fly In this afternoon, being held at St Arnaud, about 45 minutes from here. There were about 25 ultra light aircraft, from all over New Zealand. They were coming and going all the time. You could even pay to go on a scenic flight if you wanted to.

Even though it was fine, there was a very cool wind coming from the fresh snow on the mountains. After watching for about an hour, we decided to go into the St Arnaud settlement and have afternoon tea at 'Clinker Cafe', a new establishment that has recently opened. It was lovely, and for the blippers that live in the top of the South Island, I highly recommend it. We will be returning in the future.
