Roger's Kid?

On the left is Roger, the banded Steller's Jay that has been coming to our deck for years. On the right is a family member I am quite sure. If not Roger would have escorted him off the premises. Instead they stood together for some time having a bird conversation. Gossip? Joke telling? Asking to borrow the car? I couldn't tell. But the younger bird was making all kinds of interesting noises and Roger was listening. At one point another bird flew by and I was planning to blip that and call it "Eavesdropping." But that photo wasn't nearly as sharp and clear as this one. Be sure to check it out in large.

Had the book club over for lunch today. That was fun. I sure do love those ladies! We read Gone Girl, a really creepy book that was hard to put down. Next month we read Blind Your Horses.

Arvin and I went out and I bought more bungee cords for my shelves. Things are really shaping up.
