Karl..

Jenkins.

A good few months ago Mr C told me he had booked something for Lucy and I to go to.  Knowing he was away at Crufts but didn’t realise at the time that it was Mothers Day.  It was a surprise and I had no idea what it could be.  Maybe afternoon tea somewhere.  When we were up in London a couple of weeks ago he asked if I had any idea what I was going to see.  Lucy and I became detectives and decided it must be to see the show Six as there are not too many shows that perform on a Sunday.

This week he asked if we knew and confidently we said Six.  No he replied and with a couple of clues we guessed.  Not what we were expecting but a wonderful surprise nevertheless.

The performance was a one night (or afternoon in this case) at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate Karl’s 80th birthday and Mr C was disappointed that he couldn’t go.  Lucy has seen him before but a first for me and very enjoyable it was too.  We had a great seats in the stalls with seats that swivel slightly so you can turn to face the stage.

We grabbed something to eat in Prezzo after, rather average and then home to see the end of Crufts and the final of Great Pottery Throwdown.  The winner was well deserved just a shame that she was the winner from day one and not a lot the other competitors could do about it. ( Heartfreek get applying!).
