Mother’s Day

I had a very happy Mother’s Day with lovely cards, flowers and gifts from my gorgeous children. I had FaceTime calls from R and N who will be home in 2 weeks’ time and we will celebrate together then. I also had the joy of A and D being here on a surprise visit - my smile says how happy I was about that!

Mr M’s mum joined us for church and Sunday lunch, which was lovely. We are very grateful for her.

I, of course, remembered my own lovely mum and was asked by A what she was like - he was sadly only a baby when she died. She was a wonderful, kind, caring, encouraging, godly mother. If I am half the mum that she was, then I’ll be happy.

A and D returned to London late afternoon and we went off to evening church. Had a lovely time after the service over coffee, chatting to four close friends, sharing the joy of the weekend with them and feeling blessed by my church family as well as my own family.
