A Peaceful Spot

This antique English garden bench nestles amongst the ferns and hostas in a shady spot in our Connecticut garden. It is a wonderful place to come be still and ponder things.

The ashes of many of our beloved pets have been buried in this quiet corner, and when I spend time here, I think about how much they contributed to the happiness of our lives. This is also the spot where one of our sons and his beautiful bride chose to say their wedding vows two years ago. A peaceful spot with a lot of significance to me.
