Philadelphia Flower Show

Each year I try to visit the Philly Flower Show. It’s a day away from work with special friends. The past 10 + years, it’s been with my friends Joanie & Rick - super great couple! Years back I attended with my friend Ethel. She passed over 10years ago, and we had been visiting the Show for over 10 years before she got sick. So what does that mean ? ….. I’ve been at the Show for well more than 30 years.
It’s a beautiful day ….. local train ride drops us at the Reading Terminal …. fabulous sit-down brunch at Down Home Diner …... walk across the street to Convention Center, and wallah ! We’re at the Show where the entire concrete-floored room has been transformed into a floral extravaganza !
So what does this ‘picture’ have to do with the Flower Show ? Well look carefully, it’s actually not a painting nor photo. The entire, finely- detailed picture is made entirely of plant materials. It’s ingenious and beautiful ! And I cannot imagine how long it took to create such a masterpiece. Yes, 1st prize / Blue ribbon in its category.
