I am back at Skilly and it feels good to be home. The big adventure to New Mexico was wonderful and I met some great people and saw some great sights. But I have learnt not to catch a flight from LA and be in Santa Fe at 7,000 feet two hours later. It took me many days to adjust and I never really made it. Next time I will catch a train and stop over half way.
I flew in to Adelaide on Thursday and by the time we got home I felt like a quick nap before dinner. I woke up 13 hours later. I guess I was more tired than I realised, running on reserves for so long, my battery needed re-charging. Now (Sat) it is 4am and I am awake and bright. This photo was taken last night looking out across the Skilly ridges at sunset, my heart and mind feeling like they are back in their proper place.
