Mu?la Lads

These young lads from Mu?la, a city in south-western Turkey, started to chat to us while we were sitting in a park. One of them spoke good English and said that they were about to go for a swim, something which appealed greatly since we noticed that the thermometer in the local pharmacy indicated a whopping 43 degrees! But they were also keen to have their photos taken. What I like about this portrait are the different expressions on their faces, each one reflecting their different personalities and also (hopefully) forming part of a well-balanced composition, e.g. through the matching light blue shirts. It was one of the great pleasures of our holiday to speak to such nice, friendly people!
