Hyde Hall

Went for a bit of a drive today over to the RHS gardens at Hyde Hall in Essex.

It's a bit of a drive (80 miles or so) but the sun was shinning and the bees where buzzing, so impossible not to feel good.

Apparently they get less rainful on average then the middle east, and it showed a little in the planting, lots of plants addapted to dry conditions and a little bit of scourching on those that aren't. Had a nice day, although the food at the resturant was pricey (must remeber to take a pic-nic when we next go out). Got some bargains from the plant shop which made up for it!

Having friends over for dinner tonight - not that I'm cooking, I think Dominoes is in order!
