Jimmy Sirrel - the most successful manager of Notts County Football Club - the first professional football club set in in the world in 1862.

Brian Clough - to the right, the  successful manager of Nottingham Forest Football Club founded in 1865. Winners of the 1979 European Cup in Munich, I was lucky enough to be there. I was on a football club tour when we were asked during a coach journey if we wanted to divert to watch the game. How things have changed!

The mural is opposite the Trent Navigation Inn which backs onto the Notts County Ground. Notts Forest ground is opposite but on the other side of the Trent.
