Sue Foll's picture of the day

Tourist, Regent Street

Out in town today the day after Michael Jackson's death I spot the first piece of commercial opportunism in the window of the A and D Galleryin Marylebone. A print of Jackson by Duggie Field's flanked by Banksy's Chimp (a silent nod to the bereaved Bubbles).

Alan Cristea is holding an exhibition of Howard Hodgekin's work which through the window looked rather underwhelming. Inside however they are revealed to be huge etchings and a fine technical feat in themselves although lacking in the colour vibrancy of his paintings.

Also technically accomplished was Tracey Emin's Show at White Cube Mason's Yard. Her true drawing skills become evident in a film made from individual monoprints.
And in dealing with the more difficult aspects of love and sexuality through the use of soft furnishings.
