Quote Of The Day
"The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition."
(Carl Sagan)

Bonus Quote Of The Day
"Nature does not care what we call it, she just keeps on doing it."
(Richard Feynman)

The universe may be indifferent to us, but that doesn't mean we have to be indifferent to each other. Today was a joyous, fun-filled day of laughter and creativity. At the annual Founders' Day Ceremony, back at St. Michael's Cathedral for the first time in several years due to the pandemic, we celebrated our history (thank you, Miss Leonora Lea and Bishop Michael Yashiro) and the achievements of our pupils as myself and the Year Three, Five and Six teachers announced the Spirit of St. Michael's Award to one child in our class. As the Head Teacher said, it's always satisfying to realise how difficult it is to choose just one child.

Back at school, instead of regular lessons, mixed groups of Years One, Two and Three and Years Four, Five and Six rotated around a five different Health and Wellbeing related activities. That was great fun; my activity was three different games that required zero preparation but were incredibly well received with lots of fun and laughter. The day ended with Years Three, Four, Five and Six working together in the Hall on the Summer Panto which the whole school will perform at the end of this school year. I have to say, with the actors, singers and dancers working together for the first time, they all did remarkably well and I'm sure this will be a great production.

On an intergalactic scale, all this may not add up to much at all, but, down here, it means a great deal indeed.
