Dartmoor view from my new room.

Well no one turned up and I could write a small book on the covering of the conversations that I had trying to find out sort out what happened during yesterday’s discharge.
No one turned up to assist or assess my situation.
Made 4 phone calls up until 01:30am to find out what to do.
Told to call GP the following morning.
GP knew nothing about my situation., call After several links with switchboard at Derriford I was put in contact with the Matron of the ward I was discharged from.
No evidence of who actually prepared the discharge papers and she would call me back.
20 minutes later she called just as the neurology team came around the ward wondering where I was!!!!
They hadn’t given the all clear for my discharge!
Lots of apologies were conveyed.
The team there would contact my GP surgery to implement a plan.
By now the paracetamol was having little effect on my fatigue and the pain from my multiple injuries and fractures making mobility extremely challenging. I received a phone call from my local Cottage hospital from Sam who would be around immediately to assess my situation. She was shocked and was able to order a hospital type bed and a care package together with some really helpful washing and toilet perching accessories.
The care package was due to start at 10:30 on Friday morning.
Fortunately aunties enablers were on hand to bring me some food and some drinks.
My friend S to the rescue, a bedroom was cleaned and prepared for Millbrook to deliver the hospital bed after two good church friends were able to move the original bed to another room.
Still no pain killers.
S walked to the GP (fortunately only 50 meters away. She managed to organise a paper prescription to be collected at 5 pm to take to the local chemist otherwise medication would be ready sometime on Friday.
So 30 hours of just paracetamol was giving me some serious aches and pains.
17:45 meds collected by S and away we go. New bed delivered and ready with slick efficiency.
By 19:30 I couldn’t keep my eyes open or head from pretending to be a nodding donkey.
Zzzzzzzzzz.
