from the garden
i suppose there's a bit of a story behind these croci
so i'll tell it.
planted by Bill Woodsford who helped Colonel Hamblin create the garden at Bincleaves /Mary's Cottage after WWII. during the war the garden was used to grow veg.
Bill planted these before I was born.
Bill kept the garden in tip top condition well into his 80s.
He loved the garden and also made a mean elderflower wine.
my eldest is named after his wife, Daisy.
