Art Deco capital. After an earthquake in the 1930s the rebuilding was largely in this style and has been kept as a feature here and surrounding areas. The number of signs about how to escape tsunamis and earthquakes is a tad alarming. And visited a winery today that was almost destroyed by a cyclone last year.
