A Surprise Visit

Having finished his two years at college, our 18 year old grandson, Harry, has now gained his NVQ2 Certificate in Plumbing and is currently waiting to hear whether he will be able to do a third year.

He has been trying to get a job for sometime, but they are very few and far between in this current economic climate. However, he is now working for a double glazing company and is out all day, 6 days a week, knocking on doors and trying to get business for the company. He says he really enjoys it and of course, the money at the end of the week makes it all worth while.

There was a ring at the door bell this afternoon, and when I opened the door, there was Harry, looking very smart in his Ralph Lauren shirt! He said as he was in the area, and it was his break, he thought he would pop in to see us. A cheese roll and an orange juice later and he had to head off and catch up with his team so off he went, with a smile on his face.

The best thing we can do is to enjoy eating, drinking, and working.
I believe these are God's gifts to us.

Harry said he has the day off tomorrow as he is going to his boss's wedding, so I'm sure he will enjoy eating and drinking and then it's back to work on Monday - I've told him I pray for at least one lead for him each day and anything else is a bonus! He has asked me to keep praying as he is sure it helps so that's what I will be doing!
