Damp Friday Afternoon Blip

Just finished work and went into the garden to get a wet flower when I spotted this insect crawling through the undergrowth seemingly weighed down with rain.

As I closed in to try to get some shots he flew off and landed onto the leaf (for what seemed only a fraction of a second) and I managed to get off two shots - when I checked I could see one was out of focus and the other was this one - he was gone before I had another chance so it was all he would allow me today.

Maybe tomorrow I will find him again and be rewarded with more time and better light - I did this with my zoom which is not fast at the best of times and am happy with the effort (I could have just stayed indoors as it was drizzling) - my zoom that I lent out is due to come back to me as well so tomorrow is another day for blipping - come rain or shine!!? :-)
