Family Dogs

Our granddogs.    Went to deliver something to Peter’s today and got the snap of Maple Sugar the Vizsla on their couch…   But the blip is about that other dog of son Eric…Cocoa Bean, the German Short Haired Pointer.  I so love the look in this photo of her when she was maybe 4 months old in 2020….…I have it on my iPad screensaver and smile at her every day.  She was a covid dog…never left alone.    But there was a crises the last couple weeks….she’s incorrigible and eats everything including bamboo and rocks.   Well, this time it was horse poop!….which obstructed her intestines which led to surgery and then a staple failed so there was a second surgery where a small bit of her intestine was removed and there was no guarantee how she’d be.     But as of this morning I THINK  she’s going to be ok…the vet is keeping her another day to watch her.    You’d think it was a child, how worried we all were.   They are such a part of the family.    I know there are lots of dog lovers/owners out there who agree.
