Today saw us have a few hours on the beach before taking a taxi into Phuket town for the Sunday walking market (basically just a series of streets closed off for stalls, street food, trinkets, clothes).  It's absolutely boiling hot, the humidity is high.   We wandered for a while, taking it all in, taking photos.  The place is mobbed with Instagrammers who have to get the perfect shot of the strangest poses, on pedestrian crossings and other inconvenient spots.  

We went to a nice restaurant to cool down, have some dinner, then jumped in a taxi home.  The journey out took 45 mins, the journey home was at least double.   Apart from the Phuket and Patong traffic being terrible, it had rained heavily on the Patong side of the island while we'd been out. 

We got back in time to see some wedding fireworks being let off on the beach.
