Strolling in the sun
On another sunny day people were out walking and enjoying the early signs of Spring. Today’s blip is taken at the bottom end of the Lake in Roath Park with the lighthouse on the left that commemorates the Robert Falcon Scott who sailed from Cardiff on 15th June 1910 in the Terra Nova on his last and fatal expedition to reach the South Pole.
Thank you Bob for hosting this week’s Wide Wednesday challenge “people”.
This evening was a meeting of our wine club, where we tasted eight wines by a single and relatively new producer from Ribera Del Duero, Domino Del Aguila. It was interesting as the young producer, who trained in Bordeaux and Burgundy, is trying to break the mold of the traditional style Ribera wines. Overall, we weren’t convinced by his wines, but that said, as he only began production in 2010, the wines were relatively young and they may mature into something more stellar.
