Gently down the stream

Taking Off

Just had a week in Dorset. As soon as we arrived we went down to the beach at West Bexington and saw this immature herring gull practising his take-off skills. Isn't he a wonderful scraggy teenager? There were a whole heap of gulls down their, largely, we felt, because of the fishermen lining the shore. Well, what more could a gull want?

I shall be posting more pics from the hol, but probably at the rate of one a day, as I'm unlikely to have time to blip in the week. (Also, by the way, I've changed my journal name, but not just for the seaside connotations, the beaches were mostly stone!!).

Hope you've all had a good week and plenty of sun? We did, but I don't know if that's just because we got lucky.. x
